Care Guide

Washing

ODAYA Home artisanal bedlinen are made of cotton sateen fabric, and the threads of the handcrafted lace are of Egyptian mercerised cotton.  Guidelines to caring for your artisanal bedlinen are no different from those for any other premium bedlinen.  First and foremost, we recommend washing frequently to avoid steadfast soiling and keeping your bed food and drinks-free.

As for other textiles, cool or lukewarm water of up to 40°C will provide the necessary hygiene without damaging the fibers or causing excessive shrinkage.  Washing should be done with items of similar colours.  Stains should always be pre-treated.  Please use a bleach-free washing gel or detergent that is appropriate for the colour of your sheets.  We recommend using a gentle machine wash cycle.  In case you wash with other clothes or towels, it is best to use laundry bags to avoid any damage from open zippers and buttons.

Drying

When possible, it is always better to dry bedlinen on an open-air clothesline but out of direct sunlight.

If you need to use a machine dryer, use a low-heat setting to minimise damage from high temperatures.  After the cycle finishes, remove the sheets from the dryer as soon as possible and fold them.

Ironing

Ironing cotton sateen is a bliss.  Use temperatures appropriate for cotton textile.  Ironing the lace parts of your bedlinen should be done with care and you may prefer to place a thin piece of clean cloth between the lace and the iron plate to ensure the embossed part of lace is not excessively heated or pressed.

Storage

It is best to store bedlinen in a cool, dry storage space.  You may use clean cotton storage bags or paper boxes.  Your ODAYA Home luxury package box is a perfect container that will ensure the best rest for your textile until it reaches your bed again.

Washing

ODAYA Home throw blankets are made of extrafine merino wool, which has an unrivalled fineness and softness.  We recommend frequent airing of the blanket to avoid frequent washing, and using professional care when needed.

If machine washing is needed, use a gentle cycle for wool, up to 30°C and a bleach-free detergent for delicates and wool.  In order to keep its form, your blanket is best placed in a laundry bag during the washing cycle.

Drying

Professional care is recommended. If professional services are not available, drying at home should be open-air, on a flat surface, out of direct sunlight.  Avoid shaking and stretching.

If you need to use a machine dryer, use a low-heat setting to minimise damage from high temperatures and excessive shrinkage.  After the cycle finishes, remove the blanket from the dryer as soon as possible and fold it.

Ironing

Low-heat ironing is recommended, if needed.

Washing

Table linen set the ambience of any carefully designed culinary experience.  Because of the different nature of such occasions, ODAYA Home uses different fabrics for each table linen collection.

Fabric used for the Tiara Table Linen Collection is 100% linen, lightweight and very breathable.  The Flower Crown Collection, on the other hand, uses heavier fabric, a mix of 60% linen and 40% cotton.  The fabrics for both collections are OEKO-TEX certified. For specific care instructions of the item you own, always check the individual care label.

Regardless of the fabric composition, however, the general recommendation is to machine wash on a delicate cycle with lukewarm water up to 30ºC. For items with different colours of lace and fabric, please use colour catching laundry sheets.  Wash with items of similar colours and use laundry bags to avoid mechanical damage.  You can pre-treat stains, if any.  Do not use bleach-containing detergents.

Drying

As for any other textile item, we recommend drying on an open-air clothesline. If you need to use a machine dryer, use it at a low-heat setting to minimise damage from high temperatures and excessive shrinkage.  After the cycle finishes, remove the item from the dryer as soon as possible and fold it.

Ironing

Low-heat ironing is recommended, iron when damp.
