As we searched for the most skilled artisans of the needle, we encountered many women who shared splendid textile artwork they had completed in the past and who would have been excellent dentellières in our team.  Yet, due to the exacting nature of fine needlework, as the years had passed, the strength of their eyes had weakened which did not allow them to work on lace anymore.

We were moved by their stories and needed to provide space for them to unleash their creative minds and skilled hands once more.  Our throw blankets are the product of these exact veteran dentellières who have decades of outstanding, dedicated experience with the thread and needle and are the living embodiment of craftsmanship and heritage.

We empowered the master artisans with the finest merino wool and a contemporary design to fit the modern home.  The result is a meticulously handknit, very gentle to the skin blanket that is perfect for keeping one warm on a winter evening at home or during a chilly evening outside.   For those who appreciate the achievement of a lifetime of good work, there is also the inner warmth of using a product which is a culmination point in an artisan’s life story.

Compared to a machine-woven one, the handknit blanket is more breathable in texture and easily stretches when you need it to or shrinks back to its original size when not in use.  Because of the uncompromising finish of the extra-fine merino wool, the blanket is safe to be machine-washed on a gentle cycle, no dry-cleaning or ironing needed.
